Cairo, Egypt – December 5, 2024 – Regina Group, a leader in the food and pasta industry, proudly participated in the 9th edition of Food Africa, held from December 3 to 5, 2024, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. This premier event brought together over 900 exhibitors from 32 countries, attracting more than 27,000 visitors, and solidifying its status as Africa’s largest agro-food exhibition.


Day 1: Booth Inauguration
On the opening day, Regina Group inaugurated its booth under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Kareem Abou Ghali. Karim Abu Ghali: We aim to support popular clubs to enhance competition for the benefit of Egyptian football

As part of the company’s strategy to support Egyptian sports, Regina Food Group – one of the leading food industry companies in Egypt – has signed a contract with United Sports Company, the marketing rights holder of Zamalek Club, to sponsor the sports teams of Zamalek Club for a period of 3 years.

 

This is in line with Regina Food Group’s marketing strategy, sponsoring major sports events and activities to further engage with the Egyptian audience. It is also in line with Regina’s efforts to support the development of popular clubs, contributing to the national team’s talent pool for the dream of qualifying for the World Cup and delivering a strong performance in continental tournaments in the coming period.

 

The sponsorship agreement for Zamalek Club was signed by Mr. Karim Abu Ghali, CEO of Regina Food Group, and Mr. Mohamed Yehia Lotfi, representing United Sports Company. A press conference is scheduled in the coming days to announce all the details of the contract, with the presence of Zamalek Club’s board members and some of the first-team stars.

 

In this regard, Mr. Karim Abu Ghali, CEO of Regina Food Group, said, “We are delighted to sponsor the esteemed Zamalek Club to contribute to the continued development of Egyptian sports and enhance communication with our customers across various governorates. We wish Zamalek Club success in achieving victories in continental and international tournaments to strengthen Egyptian football’s leadership in Africa.”

 

Karim Abu Ghali emphasized the importance of national companies with famous brands sponsoring popular clubs with historical significance. This contributes to creating strong competition and achieving equal opportunities in local tournaments, benefiting Egyptian sports by providing the national teams with the best talents.

The company has previously entered into sponsorship contracts with the Egyptian national handball team through the International Federation’s marketer, extending until the year 2031. This includes support for the qualifying rounds of the FIFA World Cup.
